add new ethernet interface in virtual ASG

I am evaluating ASG 7.200 as virtual appliance on ESX 3.5. A third network interface has been added to the virtual machine but is not recognized by the ASG. I can only see eth0 and eth1. Is there anything else I need to do in order to activate eth2?

Regards
Dirk

  • I just found that using ifconfig on the command line allows to set an ip address for eth2. However, this interface is still not available as hardware for a new interface in the ASG software. A reboot did the trick and now I can create a new network interface in WebAdmin.
  • Yeah, with the VMWare image reinstallation is not required... a reboot is all that is needed.
