Seems like a good way to duplicate your setup would be to bring up a VMware image with the same number of NICs, then you can setup the replacement live.

Or if you have a spare machine with the same number of NICs, that would work, too.

i had no problems with my internal interfaces, but i cannot edit the additional interfaces!!

So to confirm what I think is being suggested:
 
Astaro doesn't care what the NICs are as long as the number of NICs are the same?  I have a 220 in production, so if I created a VM with 8 NICs, made all the config changes that I needed on the VM, exported the config from the VM and applied it to an upgraded 220, everything would be set without the NIC config blowing up in my face?

the number of NICs is the same, and all the NICs and Interfaces are up, but i can`t edit the additional Interfaces! thats my problem!

Well Graf, I have a suggestion, but I'd wait until one of the more senior members give you a reply first since I'm not an expert by any means.
 
What I would consider doing is to delete the additional interfaces then manually recreate them which hopefully would give you editing capability back.

Yes, this is correct. We have done this in the past (either using VMWare or using totally different hardware but with the same number of NICs). Setup your virtual or real machine with the same number of NICs, configure Astaro on that machine, create a backup, load the new version on the production hardware and restore the backup.

Thanks Drees for the confirmation. Hopefully Astaro will get the 7.005 VM's posted in the next few days. If not, I can always use the 7.004 VM and update or just start with a blank VM and install from the 7.005 ISO.
 
Update:  Set up a VM with four NICS (max VMWare Server will allow) and tried a few different ways of running the upgrade after taking a snapshot of the bare original 7.005 config.  I didn't like some of the ways that the V6>V7 import tool changed things, so reverted back to my snapshot and manually reconfigured everything and saved a backup.  Hopefully I'll get the time to do the upgrade in the next week or so.
