upgrade from asl 5 to asl 7

I logged into my web admin this morning and noticed the copyright 2004 in the corner, which just felt kinda old. this led me to think about how long i'd let my home gateway go without even thinking about if updates were available. so, i logged in and i clicked on my home use license just to look at it, and what should i notice but an upgrade license to version 7 button.

so i have two questions for you guys...
first off, is it even worth upgrading to version seven? From reading the forums it seems like it's giving a lot of people problems.
and second, can i easily upgrade from asl version 5 to asg version 7 without having to set everything back up again? the machine i'm using to run astaro isn't that great (750mhz pIII/128/10gig). i don't guess there's a nice home use licence for version 6 floating around anywhere? any input anyone has on version 7 and making the transition would be greatly appreciated.

    ok... so what i ended up having to do since my 5.1 box wouldn't upgrade was this: i had an extra 20gb drive, which i installed 5.2 on, loaded my 5.1 file, exported a new 5.2 file, and imported that into 6.303.

    now... i've got the new box set up, but my internet is painfully slow. sometimes it just times out when try to load a page. i've upgraded from 256mb of ram to 384, and it's a little better now, but what do you guys consider to be good hardware for running a small ten user network on v6? my current setup is pIII 866mhz/384mb pc133/20gb hard drive.

    Hi Matt,

    go to \Reporting \Hardware and look at the graphs.
    This will give you a hint, if it's the CPU or the memory.
    How much is your SWAP ??

    @StlScott: Matt is already at 6.303, read his posting ;-)
