Up2Date prefetch failed

Hello,

I have recently installed ASG V7 on my home network and it all seems to be working fine.  However, I am receiving regular error messages from Up2Date as follows:
Up2Date prefetch failed: All 6 Authentication Servers failed

Could this be related to the fact that I initially installed my V5 license key before upgrading and installing the new V7 key?

    Hi,

    I downloaded and installed 7.001 as my 7.000 install had the same issue.  How should I troubleshoot the DNS?  Commonly used domain names resolve when I perform a lookup on the server.

    I wil have another look at the log file but nothing obvious jumped out at me.  It appeared to be an authentication error returned from each of the servers.

    Do you have the use ISP DNS enabled? The authentication server failure is usually caused by a DNS issue.

    Hi Ian,

    The DNS Forwarder is configured to point to the DNS on my router.

    I have the logs open here in fron of me and it appears that Up2Date works sometimes and not others.

    Here is a snippet of an error:

    Does this offer any clues?

    gakenny,
    would look like your link is failing, because you are not connecting to an absolute address. Definitely not a DNS issue.
    Check the logs on your router and see how many times it is reset or obtains a new IP address.
    Not sure why you have the ASG behind a router? Can you connect the ASG directly to the modem and let the ASG handle the connections and associated logging, makes debugging easier.
