Cant connect to webmin (new install)?

Ive installed Astaro v6 and it installs just fine but when I try to connect to the webmin page its fails and i can not ping the address either. My setup is a p3 933 1.5gb ram 2nics.
I have dsl but it was not connected to the astaro machine at the time the setup was astaro -> Cisco 2950 switch -> machines. The server was set to be 192.168.0.1 and then i set up a satic xp machine with 192.168.0.10. I did an ifconfig on the astaro machine and it was verified that it was the right ip and i tired to ping from there and it didnt work so I changed swaped the wires in the nics restarted and still didnt work.... (I have clarkconnect working just fine on the same machine now???) What did I do wrong. I also tried to puting the astaro and a laptop on its own cisco hub with the laptop ip of .10 also and still didnt work i guess it doesnt like me or someting

Any suggestions would love to play with astaro and see what its all about.

When you try to connect, do you just type in the ip address? Because you access the interface securely, you have to manually type in the protocal, eg. https://192.168.1.1 Notice the "s" after "http". Many people I recommend this software to have this problem.

I also find that including the port in the url tends to help with the performance of the WebAdmin app. You can get away without using it, but I found that I would lose my session often when I did not include it.

Instead of https://192.168.1.100, try https://192.168.1.100:443 (you can change the port once you are in the app, if you like).
