Problem with AV up2date

I have the following problem with the AV up2date:

 000 Pattern Up2Date: Started Pattern Up2Date
001 Checking the following pattern types:
002 - Kaspersky Virus Protection Pattern
003 Checking Authentication Servers ...
004 1 Authentication Server: 172.29.11.36
005 2 Authentication Server: 172.29.11.36
006 3 Authentication Server: 172.29.11.36
007 Authenticating for Kaspersky Virus Protection Pattern ...

After a few minutes the following happens:

 008 Pattern Up2Date: Connection error (Server 172.29.11.36:443, return code: 500)

After that the Up2Date process hangs. I have to reboot the firewall to start the process over again.

  • Seems strange that the up2date would be looking for IPs that it was not configured for.
    Did this file not get updated or something? The only thing that I would be concerned about is that it will be overwritten at some time by the system. Maybe a backup is required.
    Very strange.
