PRoblem installing 6.0

Im trying to install ASL 6 with a bootable cd-rom image.

It boots and presents me with the install alternatives. Whatever I choose here I get the same problem. It initiates unpacking of the image or something with dots on the screen representing progress. After about 5-6 rows of these dots it displays the message "Ready." and then reboots.

Back to square one.

Any ideas?

  • OK... that CPU probably isn't supported in ASL 6 (6 requires real 686 support). However, I'm not that familiar with the K6 processors so I could be wrong.

I think version 5 should work fine, but the web interface will be a little slow.

v5 should be supported for another year at least.
