super_j: Yup, I now have an ASG220 that won't boot or do anything. Astaro said it will need to be RMA-ed. I suggested that only the hard drive needs to be sent back but they want the whole appliance; the tech said they have no hard drives - don't know how that could be.
mdallagi: The reason you can't get past step 1 is because they pulled the update from the server; consider yourself lucky. If you had been able to download the update you would have likely been sitting there with a dead appliance too.
