Up2Date errors

My firewall has discovered a 5.200 up2date package and tried to download it automatically.

However, I got the following emails 2x each:
System Up2Date: Wrong MD5sum for local System Up2Date Package Version_5.200.

and

System Up2Date failed: Download of System Up2Date Packages failed.

at about 14:40 GMT and 15:40 GMT today.

However,
ASL webmin says their is a GPG package is ready to install.
# md5sum 5.200.tar.gpg 
d4b861e2b02c4dda32d1752a90757175  5.200.tar.gpg

I assume this is a gpg keyfile needed to install before the actual 5.200 update. Or not?

Clicking install...

    I agree to Simon. I also saw a growing gpg file on my system [:)].
    Now it's working fine. 

    Some other hints:
    - There was a problem upto V5.103. If you download an up2date it might appear in webadmin during downloading. If you try to install the up2date, it fails because it's still downloading internally. That's fixed in 5.200.

    - It's possible to remove the up2date files manually. Delete the files 5.2* in /var/up2date. Then download the up2date again by using webadmin. Give them some time to download before applying them.

    same here but my asl box is configured to download up2date by every hour. so it solved it self

    At 2:35am Pacific Time my up2date process has failed twice with identical errors:

    Fri Mar 4 02:32:03 PST 2005 

    000 Running Version: 5.103
    001 System Up2Date: Started installation upto 5.200
    002 Searching for update from 5.103 to 5.104 or higher
    003 Verifying signature and decrypt (v 5.200) for //var/up2date/5.200.tar.gpg
    004 Could not extract tar from gpg
    005 Delete corrupt Packet
    006 Please try again

    It's clear that something's corrupt but what?
    Since I've downloaded this twice, I suspect that someting asmis with what I'm downloading.

    Are the authentication servers down for repair this morning? I have my up2date set for overnight, and I got a bunch of notices that it failed:

    Pattern Up2Date failed: Received authentication error ERR_a5. 
    Trying another Authentication Server...

    I got this like once an hour. Any help?

    Yup.  I am having the same problems.  

    I am using Up2Date Servers: 212.126.210.201 and  216.167.31.83.  It will get the package 5.200.tar.gpg but when I try to install it, it either fails outright or I get:
    000 Running Version: 5.103
    001 System Up2Date: Started installation upto 5.200
    002 Searching for update from 5.103 to 5.104 or higher
    003 Verifying signature and decrypt (v 5.200) for //var/up2date/5.200.tar.gpg
    Done 
    with the package left as an unapplied update.

    As Simon pointed out, perhaps the files aren't named correctly on these servers.

    I was able to apply the update by manually downloading from Astaro http US site and importing to the webadmin.

    Did you check for any earlier messages that may have been errors? My auto-up2date tried several times through the night, before it actually got it right early this morning!

    Previous attempts created the following alert: 
    [CRIT-323] System Up2Date failed: Corrupt Up2Date Package
    Found corrupt Up2Date Package - Please try again!

    Now, I'll try once more and report the details of the logs as they come through...


    Here is the  log from the up2date prefetch:

    Looks good with the exception the update package states "no description available" when one clicks on the 'i' flag that generally gives information on the details of the update.  I had to find this information here on this web site.

    When I returned to the Up2Date page I clicked on "install", here is the log in the pop-up window:

    000 Running Version: 5.103
    001 System Up2Date: Started installation upto 5.200
    002 Searching for update from 5.103 to 5.104 or higher

    It appears that the script either errored out or simply did not include the installation.  It looks suscisiously similar to the prefetch script.  Anyway... no installation took place an the update is still sitting where it was a half hour ago when I started the installation.

    I'm downloading the patch to install manually.
