HP NC7771 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter

Anyone tried the HP NC7771 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter with ASL?

It's one of the only cards HP is selling on their DL servers, and I'm curious if it works (I already checked the HCL, btw).

    HP says this card uses the "latest" Broadcom 5703 chip...
    Does that mean it should work with the tg3 module?

    They works fine in my two HP DL320 boxes...

    Looks like you have an Intel PCI card too... Are the broadcoms cards, or the onboard ones?

    Excuse my lateness... and I erred!

    The onboard ones are Broadcoms (2x NC7760!!!! not 7771)...
    The external Iface is Intel (NIC NC7170 PCI-X133 2x 1000T)

    OK, thanks.

    We already ordered the DL145 with the HP PCI-X nic... if it doesn't work, I'll probably just use a 10/100 Intel PCI nic if it fits.

    I'll post whether the HP NIC works though.

    OK... got the new server... the NC7771 card DOES work!

    During install, Astaro shows 2 AMD nics, and 1 "Compaq NIC".
    (They are actually all broadcoms)

    Right now, I have just installed using the PCI-X NIC.
    the "bcm5700" module is loaded, and the NIC is working.

    dmesg shows:
