HP NC7771 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter

Anyone tried the HP NC7771 PCI-X Gigabit Server Adapter with ASL?

It's one of the only cards HP is selling on their DL servers, and I'm curious if it works (I already checked the HCL, btw).

    OK, thanks.

    We already ordered the DL145 with the HP PCI-X nic... if it doesn't work, I'll probably just use a 10/100 Intel PCI nic if it fits.

    I'll post whether the HP NIC works though.

    OK... got the new server... the NC7771 card DOES work!

    During install, Astaro shows 2 AMD nics, and 1 "Compaq NIC".
    (They are actually all broadcoms)

    Right now, I have just installed using the PCI-X NIC.
    the "bcm5700" module is loaded, and the NIC is working.

    dmesg shows:

    (assuming you're asking how fast the firewall is)

    I don't have a gigabit switch, so I won't be able to tell you.
    We just got the gigabit card as that was all HP was offering.
