:: Install ASTARO in 4 GB ::

... can I install ASTARO in a HD SCSI driver of 4 GB ??? I suppose it is possible because the image of installation CD is about 200 MB, what file I must modify ??? Thanks a lot. Have a nice day.

P.S.: ASTARO support LDAP server ???

    can u put astaro on a seperate partition ? 

    before i go nuts on this , i was going to allocate a c: partition for it as a boot device but  keep my data thats on other partitions in tact for now  till im familiar with the astaro interface .

    Note : Other partitions are NTFS.

    Sorry, you can't do that either. ASL will use the whole disk, no matter what size destroying everything that is on it. Minimum requirement is 8GB and even with that problems have been reported (during updates).

    I have V5.1 installed in a VMware machine.  The overall disk usage is 2.2GB.  What else could eat the nearly 6GB that remain?  Logs?  Proxy cache?  Doesn't this seem excessive?

    It needs the space for update partitions, logging, etc etc.

    Drives are cheap these days, no excuse not to use at least 10GB drive.  It's well worth it considering some of the problems reported with smaller drives.
    I'd go for 20-40GB minimum.
