Restoring an encrypted backup file

Hi, 

I made a backup of my 4.022 firewall. Encrypted it and wrote down password. Wiped the disk , installed 5.010. Trying to import the encrypted backup file gives me the following error message: 

"Restore file preparation failed. May be wrong encryption password?"

Trouble is - it never asked for any password thus I really had no chance to screw up. I tried uploading with mozilla (d/l  the backup with Mozilla) and IE after reading it may make a difference. In my case, it does not. 

So, any ideas how to get my backup imported?

    mbona,

    maybe a stupid question but did you enable backup encryption in 5.010? Click on System -> Backup ->Advanced -> Encryption -> Enable, password input boxes will appear.

    Yes, I tried both ways:
    1) enabling Encryption and put in password, saved and tried to import - no luck
    2) did as the documentation says: import file and waited for the password prompt which never appeared.

    Both ways, I get the above error message.

    Sometimes the backup process is hampered because the browser you're using is not patched (differences in script engines between versions; not exactly an Astaro problem...). Check that you're using the same patched version of browser; failing that, try a diferent one...

    Did you click the 'Save' button in Advanced settings when you filled in the password?
