special setup for ASL4

Does anybody know how to setup ASL4 for using with the produkt xDSL@home from the austrian provider inode?

My problem is that the Firewall must setup a PPTP-connection but with one special thing:
The connection goes to the adress 10.0.0.138 but the nic does NOT have 10.0.0.140!!! It receives a different adress from modem/router zyxel Prestige 650. It is like 10.43.1.x and the routers gateway is 10.43.0.1.
Does anybody know a running setup or is it impossible to setup like this?

    This is just not enough information.

    you should contact the Service Provider and ask them about configuration options for routers and your clients inside your network.

    Let me explain how in fact connection supposed to work.

    NEtwork configuration is:

    Internal --- ASL ---- ZyXel 600 series--- ISP

    ZyXel uses on internal site private IP 10.0.0.138.
    Vhen you want to make connection to internet you need to make VPN  (pptp) connection to ZyXel router; authentication it PAP or CHAP.

    Question is how to convience ASL to "dial" pptp connection to ZyXel? Can this be done?

    Can you not configure the Internal interface of the Zyxel router to provide a straight Ethernet output? That would make your entire problem disappear.

    It seems rather strange that you need a VPN connection to talk to the LAN side of your inhouse router.

    Can't, as in "I have not yet learned how to"?  or
    Can't, as in "My ISP installed, configured and passworded the router, and I am unable to get in to it and configure it myself"?

    I have a Zyxel  Prestige 316 router that I have been using from time to time, and configuring it was quite easy. It has the same firmware in it as the early Netgear routers.  It has all the basic configuration details available by browsing the built in web server, with additional, more advanced configuration available by telneting into it.

    The router is from ISP, i don't have username and password.
    There for i can't do nothing on router.

    Well, for the Zyxel routers, the factory default is:

    Username = admin
    Password = 1234

    Have you tried that?

    Also, have you tried to simply call up your ISP's helpdesk, and ask them to give you the admin password for the router?

    I don´t want to change the router-configuration because there is also Voice over IP VoIP for my telefone  running via this router. I just want the same situation like I had with my old provider which was like

    internal network---ASL---ADSL-modem---Internet

    I have also tried to setup a PPTP-connection with the adress given from the DHCP from the provider as a static adress and  10.0.0.138 as modem-adress like a PPTP-connection for ADSL from Telekomm Austria but without success. 
    There is a german description for the setup of ADSL fromm Telekomm Austria on docs.astaro.org.

    I have tried to setup ASL V5 but I received the same error as I got in ASL 4.
    Are there differences in the setup of the external interface betweeen ASL 4 and 5?

    I am using at the moment m0n0wall instead of ASL 4/5. This is a firewall based on FreeBSD which runs from CD.
    With m0n0wall I can receive on the "WAN-setting" DHCP a dynamic IP-adress from my provider. If I set this IP as static on the "WAN-setting" PPTP together with my username, password and 10.0.0.138 as modem-IP any PC from my internal network has got access to the internet!
    The same trick on ASL 4 or 5 does NOT work. If the external network is set to  DHCP it receives  an IP but I can´t get access to the internet from internal network .
    IPCop 1.4 which is in BETA-status at the moment is able to setup a pptp-connection with a dynamic adress for the connection to the modem. This works together with  my provider!! Please look at the german-spoken forums http://xdsl.at or www.ipcop-forum.de with the keywords Inode and/or xdsl_at_home or watch www.ipcop.org and www.m0n0.ch
    I want to use ASL because I think the "professional" part which is not free available makes ASL more save for home-users that use it for free.
