3.215 HTTP Proxy "allowed target services"

Just wondering... I don't quite understand the online help for this new item...

Does this mean that the Squid Cache will now cache FTP connections (if it's on the allowed target services list)?

Please clarify.

on the other hand, how does this apply, if it does, to a situation where the proxy access is restricted to, say, eth0_network only? or even when the proxy is in user authentication mode as opposed to transparent or standard?

Anyone with access HTTP proxy (prior to 3.215) was able to connect to any TCP port anywhere. Access via proxy-CONNECT superseded all and any packet filter rules. Basically a rule at position 0 that says "proxy_users - any svc - anywhere", even if somewhat cumbersome to use sometimes (i.e. if your program does not directly support HTTP-CONNECT proxies).
