Constant CPU load caused by ctipd.bin

Hi JanGatzke,

What do you see when you execute the command, ll -h in /var/storage/cores directory from the shell? Please DM me the output and also the selfmon and fallback logfiles. Please refer, FAQ: Sophos UTM Logfile information. What is the firmware version and are the patterns up2date?

I missed out on suggesting in which directory, do we need to run that command. I have edited my previous post. I wanted to check if there are any core dumps for ctipd in the /var/storage/core directory.

Hi Jan,

As per our DM conversation and logfile information, I didn't find anything in the fallback.log. Looking inside the /cores directory there were core dumps generated for CTIPD and CTASD. You need to raise a support ticket with these findings. Prior to that, restart CTIPD services by executing the command /var/mdw/scripts/ctipd restart and monitor the CPU load.
