AP55C drops connection daily at the Same Time

Hi,

I have had an AP55C for the last few months and from new the wifi signal drops at the same time daily for 3-4 minutes. I cannot find any way to stop this from happening.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

  • Can you find anything in the wireless protection log that might give a clue on to why this could be happening? Is this your only Sophos access point or do you have more?

  • I wonder if you don't have a power problem where the power injector for the Ethernet cable is plugged in.

  • Hi Bob,

I am using a TP-Link PoE switch which has a power supply plug that is a little loose - I'll have a closer look.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Hi,

Do you have the UTM in HA mode? Also, verify the suggestion from Bob.

    Thanks

  • By a power problem, I mean is the injector plugged into a circuit that also supports a big piece of equipment that causes the AP to lose power when the equipment starts?

  • Hi Bob,

the only device that draws power from the switch is the AP so nothing there. One thing I did notice was the time of the drop out changed with day light saving - from 10pm local time to 9pm.

The UTM is not in HA mode.

    Regards,

    Steve
