Download repeating?

Hello everyone,

I hope I am posting in the right place? Every time I download a file, Sophos downloads it which is how I want it. The issue is once it has downloaded, I click the download button to download to my PC and it repeats the download. This repeats endlessly and the file is unobtainable. Please help! This is driving me mad ;-)

    UTM software version?

    URL/file location?

    Log lines from full http proxy log?

    How is the browser using the proxy?

    Hi Guys;

    I have added images of what I am seeing, and I have added my HTTP Daemon log. 

    I am using Sophos UTM 9 release 9.307-6. The URL location for my download is: http://www.fieldstonsoftware.com/../gSyncit64_4_0_536.msi?r=01

    Whats odd, I have noted very large downloads seem to work, and very small downloads as well. May just be coincidental though.

    I have setup a transparent proxy so my browser (google chrome) does automatically gets reverted to the download screen when downloading things.

    As stated before, I want it to download and scan before making it available for download. The odd thing is it just starts the download over when I click download (obviously after the initial download.

    Richard, have you tried this with a different browser?

    If that didn't let you download, please edit your post and replace httpd.log (WebAdmin service log) with http.log (Web Filtering log).  I get a "file not found" error when I try to follow the link in your last post.

    The link is Fieldston Software - gSyncit - Updates. I then click on the 64 bit installation. once clicking that, the download from Sophos takes over. 

    I have added the HTTP log and the webfiltering log.

    Forgive me for not testing this earlier (should have been obvious) but it seems to be isolated to Chrome. IE downloaded as it is supposed to. However, It would be better for it to be run from Chrome. And identify a possible bug affecting other users.

    Can you replicate this from another machine as well?

    If it is a bug in the proxy, and you are a paid license user, I recommend opening up a support case so Sophos can be informed of the issue.
