Backups not emailing

Hello,
I added my email address to Backup/Restore where it says Send backups by email but I have yet to receive anything. I know for a fact that there have been backups since adding it. Is there any particular reason I would not be getting them?

    I reported this as a bug before and was told it wasn't due to not being reproducible. But I have yet to get any backups via email since 9.171. 

    In the interim I've just setup a shell script/cronjob to run backup.plx and scp it off to my server.
