UTM and UK modem / bridge / passthrough configuration

Hi,

I have Sky Broadband and  D-Link DSL-320B ADSL2+ Ethernet Modem - UK.

I would like to set my broadband connection to Modem only and have UTM as a router.

I tried to follow instructions in this thread with no luck. Also the hyperlink referenced there doesnt work.

I have tried PPPoE and PPPoA settings in modem, as well as Bridge Mode.
I do have login/pass from the ISP Router.

I am plugging eth0 to LAN on 192.168.0.x and modem to eth1, modem when not in bridged mode has IP of 192.168.0.x.

I understand that modem should go to eth1 and all my internal network to eth0.

Still, eth1 connection in any way i tried is in status DOWN.

Please advise what would be the best configuration to have my UTM as a Router/Gateway.

    Hi, and welcome to the User BB!

    Another trick you might try is to get the MAC address of the computer that was attached directly and then, on the 'Interfaces' 'Hardware' tab, give that to the External NIC as its 'Virtual MAC'.  Then apply Scott's recommended reboot of the UTM just in case.  That might save you a frustrating call with AT&T tech support.
