UTM and UK modem / bridge / passthrough configuration

Hi,

I have Sky Broadband and  D-Link DSL-320B ADSL2+ Ethernet Modem - UK.

I would like to set my broadband connection to Modem only and have UTM as a router.

I tried to follow instructions in this thread with no luck. Also the hyperlink referenced there doesnt work.

I have tried PPPoE and PPPoA settings in modem, as well as Bridge Mode.
I do have login/pass from the ISP Router.

I am plugging eth0 to LAN on 192.168.0.x and modem to eth1, modem when not in bridged mode has IP of 192.168.0.x.

I understand that modem should go to eth1 and all my internal network to eth0.

Still, eth1 connection in any way i tried is in status DOWN.

Please advise what would be the best configuration to have my UTM as a Router/Gateway.

    Have you tried clicking the renew button for the interface?  How about a reboot?  Some DSL require that the interface be setup as PPPOA/PPTP or PPPOE, depending on what the ISP uses.  Last time I had DSL (Verizon, formerly GTE North...now Frontier), they had some sort of system in place where Devices that got a WAN address from them had to be registered by MAC and once a system got a WAN IP, another couldn't for several hours or I had to call them up to clear a DHCP record.  Major pain.  These are some of the DSL pain points I've run into.  You may want to give AT&T a call and see if any of these apply.
