System Emails cannot be sent

Hi all,

I have a client that is using a Sophos UTM Firewall. For guests there is a wireless hotspot with "password of the day" functionality. Since we have migrated the on-premises Exchange server to Office 365, the password is not being sent to the specified receipient anymore. I was looking for any SMTP server config, that the firewall uses to send such emails but I couldnt find anything. I don't know the Sophos products well, so can you please help me and tell me where I can confirgure the right options to make the email sending work?

    Their Sophos reseller should be able to fix this remotely for a fee.  There are several possible issues involved when migrating email from an internal server to an external service.

    Recently, a client made a similar move.  I knew in advance about the change, so it only added a few minutes to a session where I was configuring their new UTM Wireless APs.  They did wind up spending $1,200 on Microsoft Support though because the people that made the change found a configuration they didn't know how to deal with.

    Are we talking about the same thing? We don't want Office 365 e-mails to be routed through the Email protection of the Sophos wall. It's just the emails that the firewall sends (e.g. one-day passwords for Wifi Hotspot or other system email). I cannot imagine that this is that complicated, usually when you want a router or so to send e.g. system error notifications you only need to specify an SMTP server and that's the setting I'm looking for in the Sophos firewall.

    As I experienced this Sophos stuff is quite powerful but also very complex. Do you know if there is any site to gain a quick high-level overview of the architecture of the firewall?
