looking for help setting proxy on my childs nintendo 3DS. I want to be sure to block as much inappropriate stuff as possible without blocking them from all web sites on the internet.
The UTM is an Enterprise-level piece of software, so it's not for the faint-of-heart. [:)] If you're willing to spend some time working through things here, it will do a great job of giving your kids the protection you want.
When you first set this up, the installation wizard made a Firewall rule 'Allow : Internal (Network) -> Web Surfing -> Any'. Eventually, you will want to turn that off because kids are always smarter than their parents! [;)]
Start by turning on Web Filtering, and, on the 'Global' tab, put Web Filtering into 'Standard' mode. On the 'URL Filtering' tab, click on the categories you want to block. Always remember to to click on [Apply] after having made a change. The 'Server' is the address of "Internal (Address)" and the port is 8080.
