I wanted to know how often does the sophos utm security certificates update? Been getting weird errors after installing one they are showing it has expired like 3 years ago.
The install was for the browser certificates so Sophos could scan SSL traffic. But believe it would be more of a hassle to do this. Mean what are the chances you could get a virus over SSL traffic. Slim to none almost. And yes the unit does have the correct time on it. Just was Google chrome was having issues with it. Firefox and IE work fine just Google chrome does not.

Same chances as a non-encrypted site.
Only protection you may get is if your browser was set to complain about unencrypted data being requested during an encrypted session and the hacker tried to include their payload in an unencrypted 3rd site.Chances are though most people would ignore the warning and/or the hacker would have uploaded the content into the secure site anyways.
Well could still have it turned on but would need a working configuration that would work. Does anyone have a working setup they could post that works with SSL and HTTPS scanning enabled and will not break and would not cause the browsers to be picky about the certificates?
Would like to if possible and it don't become more hassle than it is worth. So where would I start? I notice my apps act crazy with https enabled for scanning.
for HTTPS web traffic if possible. I do notice that some apps I still have to allow exceptions to the web filtering to keep working. But how would I configure it to successfully work and scan SSL and HTTPS web traffic as well. When its enabled any https site fights saying invalid certificate. Example browsers are Google chrome and Firefox.
