Google Apps Email

I have users on my corporate internal network behind the Sophos V9 Appliance that are unable to upload attatchments in our Google Apps Email (gmail). I have turned off any type of IPS or Filtering. I know that it is a problem going through the firewall cause when they go out the "Guest" side, there is no problem.

What should I be looking at here?

    Please always post the exact version you're using - 9.004-33?

    Assuming that you aren't using the SMTP Proxy, what do you see in the Intrusion Prevention and Firewall logs that might be related?

    I have heard a few mutterings from my employees about this as well 

    Recently updated to utm9 as well

    I just recently updated to 9. I have:

    Model: ASG220  
    Firmware version: 9.004-33

    i had IPS off, and firewall any > any > any


    where is the tcp timeout setting?

    Smaller files finish, but bigger ones do not.

    I have a 120 with ips off


    (@ mwdean i could be wrong but is the any-any-any pretty much undo te point of a firewall? or are you just doing this to test?)

    I am just testing. My production config is deny,allow explicit services. 

    I think it is some sort of timeout due to it being a larger file. Can you control the Tcp timeout in version 9?

    MW, please start the Firewall, Intrusion Prevention and Web Filtering Live Logs, and then try a download.  What, if anything, do you see in one of those logs related to this issue?  If you want to post anything from the Firewall log, please copy the corresponding lines out of the full log file - the Firewall Live Log shows that something was blocked, but rarely "why."

    How much RAM in your 220?  Did you do the in-place upgrade, or reload from ISO?

    TCP timeouts can be set from the command line, but let's confirm it's not another issue first.
