Yes, you can. Put an unencrypted backup on a USB memory stick, insert it into the ASG 220 and boot. You will need to login and apply the new license for the 220 before it will work.
When you are ready to replace the software device with the new 220, you probably will need to reboot any routers/switches directly connected in order to clear their ARP tables.
The config backup created in webadmin can be restored to almost any Astaro as long as you keep versions the same (or close enough) and make sure the destination has the same number of ethernet ports as the source.
On the other hand, the image on the disk drive can't be moved around. That is specific to the hardware you are running your ASG on.
