I have a problem with the Webadmin console, in that after a random period of time (it can be as little as a few hours or as long as a week), the webadmin console just drops off the map. Navigating to it just returns a pager not found error, however, the firewall and all other functions carry on working perfectly.
This is resolved by a reboot.
Unfortunately my Linux skills are next to zero; I would assume that a service has stopped or something similar, but I'm not sure where to start looking.
I had this problem with I first started using v7, then I upgraded to v8, but with a clean install (I didn't even import the rulebase), yet I have the exact same problem?
The only common factor is that both versions of the firewall are/were running as a VMware guest (v4.1).
I have several other server running on the same VM host without incident.
Does anyone have any thoughts? This is driving me insane and rebooting my firewall every time I want to get to the console really isn't a good solution! [:O]
Any help or advise would be very much appreciated.
