Issue by finishing setup wizard

good morning community,

some days ago, i've installed astaro security gateway v8 - home version on as vm on my esxi 5 host.

some key infos:
768 MB RAM
1 core (~3.2 Ghz)
10 GB HDD
2 NICs

the vm is installed out of downloadable iso file (file from 16.01).
i can filling all the steps in the basic wizard after installation
in the last step i get an summary overview und advise to press finish (see attached picture_1).
i press finish. now the summary box is empty (see pic_2), the finish buttom still availible an nothing is going on.
one more time press finish -> no result.
is only possible press cancel, then wizard ends an all setting from wizard lost.
if i not press cancel, but reload in the right upper corner the login mask show again und wizard beginn again.

please help

    If you only want a test machine, and want to test nothing but the most basic functionality, you *can* run a machine like that - however, unless you know very much about the internal details of the ASG software, it's probably not the best way to test: Suppose you run into trouble - how are you plannung to judge whether the trouble is caused by bugs - or just by resource exhaustion on your memory-starved machine?

    For a production system, William is absolutely right, don't try to run like this, the economy of memory is almost certainly not worth risk of exhausting resources.  You want a stable firewall, and you don't want a fantastically slow one, right?

    However, available memory and disk space is *not* explicitly checked by the wizard, so something does seem fishy here.  I no case is any part of the user interface expected to just get stuck, without any kind of error message. So please provide the requested details to Masoumeh!

    Hello there.

    I have exactly same Problem like starlight1986.

    On my VM (served by latest Proxmox VE) the initial setup wizard doesn´t finish.
    Hardware-Specs:
    Intel Core i5 2500k (4x3,4 GHz, Hyper Threading)
    4x4GB RAM
    all VM-"HDD´s" are on 2x 500GB RAID0

    VM-Specs:
    1 Core with around 10% CPU-Time.
    2GB RAM
    20GB VM-HDD (VIRTIO) - should be enough for home-use!

    Installation finished in normal speed, no errors.
    After initial boot i went to web-UI, where config-wizard was waiting for me.

    Setup everything, went all fine until i clicked the "finish" button of the wizard.

    Exactly the same looking as on starlight´s screenshots.

    I just clicked cancel there and set up my astaro by hand...

    I don´t think it is a hardware-issue, because the Astaro runs pretty pretty well, fast and stable!

    Any more having this problem?

    P.S.: An installation of a 8.2 ASG finished the config-wizard with no problems!
