Facebook issues with Astaro

Since upgrading to 8.200, It seems my clients have a lot of problems with Facebook.
Going in to facebook, and browsing around works fine, but any other actions, like uploading photos, see Messages, browsing in photos album, activate Youtube movies and so on get stack (not always, and not all my users, but allot of them.

It seems something just doesn't work well between Astaro and Facebook, and I really hope someone from Astaro will pay attention to this.

Today I have made a DNS group to all Facebook I could find in the log:
1. pixel.facebook.com
2. glb1.facebook.com
3. fbcdn.net
4. a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net
5. 0-333.channel.facebook.com
6. facebook.com
7. sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net
8. a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net
9. static.ak.fbcdn.net
10. glb2.facebook.com
All together – 137 IPs!!! 

I put those DNS groups in one group call "Facebook", and put it in the Exceptions of Intrusion Prevention.
I have also put all those DNS in the Web Filtering – exceptions.

Hopefully it will help; however, it's only workaround.
I don't see this behavior in any other website.

    i've been able to replicate the symptoms on leapfrog's help site...kind...if i turn off dual scan http a/v everything works fine..if i run dual a/v scan the site has issue much like you are experiencing with Facebook.

    That is a possibility...are you a educational institution?  IN the daily reports what is the highest trafficked site?

    We are kind of small village of about 500 homes, offices etc...
    All traffic is going thru my Astaro to the internet.
    Basically it's for privet use (allot of traffic - mainly at evening) 

    I have tried without AV - didn't make any change.
    I have opened a case in Astaro, so I'll writ here if they will come up with something.

    wow..500 homes?  That's quite a few folks.  I have to say i'm at a loss at this point.  I'll watch this thread and my installations to see if i can replicate this in any other form.

    Astaro responds for now:
    "I know something about the problem with uploading pictures in facebook if you use a proxy. 
    The problem is that facebook doesn't respond to get request which does not contain an Accept-Encoding Header, so the connection times out."
    They are still checking.

    The strange thing is, that neither "Transparent mode skiplist" and/or "Exceptions" seems to make any different.

    If the browser is configured to use the Astaro Proxy, the Transparent mode skiplist is not considered.

    Hi Bob.
    I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but all our browsers are configured to "automatic".
    There is no configuration to use the Astaro Proxy.

    Automatic implies that there's some central service that distributes a configuration to all browsers.  One of the reasons to do that would be to enforce use of the web proxy.

    If the Astaro proxy is in Transparent mode and the browser is not configured to use the proxy, the 'Transparent mode skiplist' applies.  If the 'Content Filter (HTTP/S)' logfile ('Web Filtering' logfile in V8) shows that skiplist traffic is going through the proxy, then the two conditions in the prior sentence have not been met.

    Hi Bob.
    No central service that distributes a configuration to all browsers.
    We are not in a domain form, and most computers are privet computers, so actually, each computer has it's one configuration.
    What I meant before, was that most computers config is: Internet Options-Connection-LAN Setting-Automatic detect settings.
