License Renewal - What do we need

My vendor just renewed our license for the Astaro ASG120 and charged us for Network Security and Web Security?  What's the difference between Network and Web security?  We paid alot for this!  Is this something we could have done ourselves?

    Nancy, under the "Classic" license plan, Astaro charged extra for support, so, in the past, you would have been charged for Gold Maintenance and Web Security.

    Under the new licensing system, only Premium Support carries an additional charge as the Standard (Gold) Support is included with each subscription.  When doing this, it became necessary to break out the advanced aspects of Network Security as a separate subscription, and that's why you would have been invoiced for Network Security and Web Security.

    If you are changing from the Classic license to the new licensing model, the first year of Network Security is free from Astaro.  But, I am a bit confused...  You said in another thread that your company purchased this less than a year ago.  I'd be surprised if you had gotten a 220 with Classic licensing so recently, so I suspect that you really didn't have a "Classic" license with "Gold" maintenance, just that the technicians used the old term "Gold" when discussing Standard support.

    Anyway, thusfar, everything points to fair and responsible treatment from your reseller.

    In May of 2010 we purchased the ASG120 Firewall, Web Secure Sub License and Gold Maintanence 1 year.   In November the Firewall went down and had to be replaced with a loaner and we we're charged for the install of the loaner and then for them to install the replacement firewall.  
    Now the renewal invoice says Network Security Sub NS Renewal and Web Secure Sub WS Renewal.  No Maintanence? Not that we want to add more to the bill. 

    I am surprised we were charged for the loaner and installion of the new Firewall. What does the Gold Maintanence cover?  Doesn't the manufacturer warranty their product against defects?
