Not being able to use my new toy yet, I went investigating its facilities. My new toy is an Astaro AP 30 in case you are wondering.
I would suggest that the next models have the ability of POE. Or maybe not true POE into the box, but with an external adapter so you can then mount the AP in the best location which isn't necessarily near a power point, especially ceiling mounts in an office.
Might have to hack an ethernet cable in the mean time or buy a splitter of some sort.
Exercise for next weekend to visit electronics shop.

PS I need a new powersupply anyway, mine came with a funny 2 parallel prong power adapter. I have old 12v supplies, but they are large and have a tendency to fall out of the power point.
