Cannot log in v8

I recently migrated from v7.505 using my .abf file to v8 (Home User). After the upgrade I cannot log in using my old credentials(Super Admin nor Admin Credentials) from the web GUI. Yes I have upgraded my home licenses to the new standard through my.astaro.com profile and had all firmware updates. I have tried installing 64 and 32 bit. I tried installing from the gui and USB still cannot log in with my old credentials. Last but not least tried other .abf files. All with no success. I am running in transparent mode.

    I tried everything including the password reset procedure here;

    Still would not accept the new or old password to login.


    that's strange...
    when you followed the password reset procedure, were you able to finish all steps(especially #11)?
    can you still login as root/loginuser on the shell?
    Do you use any 'special' characters in your password? can you try with a very simple one?
    can you post the relevant output of /var/log/aua.log when the login fails? You can also check all the other logfiles(for example confd.log, confd-debug.log,..) for suspicious entries.

    All steps were completed and the password reset reported success. Still could not login.

    Are there minimum complexity requirements in v8?

    I have seen similar problems with restores of backups that don't meet minimum pw requirements on new systems?

    no, afaik there are no password complexity requirements in v8. I just wanted to make sure that this is not a encoding/utf8 problem (in case you used e.g. chinese characters, if that is even possible [:)] ), hence the question if you could try a very simple password(like 'abc').

    No odd characters, I will try something really simple and see how it goes.

    Restored v7.506 to v8 with simple abc admin password. Still could not login to webadmin.
