One time ..ok,,, twice the same day ??

Astaro, Get REAL..

First the kill packet for IPS.

NOW ????
All Astaro/Proxy users with surf-protection (our clients) all over sweden starts calling......NO surf....no access ......

Has it been extra cheap McFee people available lately or what ?

This time it's NOT as bad as before since it seems to be only the proxy, so vpn,etc and bypassing proxy works.

My Solution: Disable the Proxy in the Browser and set the proxy to standard and everything works fine. WITHOUT PROXY [:@]

Yeah,, bypassing, AND letting the users bypass the proxy is working ( Im here..so..)
But,, we've got clients all over the country, different companies, different boxes, different networks.....we're talking hundreds of machines so we can't even send out a disable-proxy action through any management tool to all of them.......

There is a workaround available:

Disable http-proxy caching and set av-scanner to single scan.

I have tested this on various systems and it solved the proxy connection refused problem.

we swiched to
-> Single Scan (Maximum Performance)
instead of the
-> Dual Scan (Maximum Security)

the content filter still show these
-> sc_handle_cmd (scr_scanner.c:511) write: Connection refused
message but the proxy finished startup!
->main (httpproxy.c:211) finished startup

everything works fine and the engine still detect viruses

unless I am mistaken the backups are just for the config and don't include anything like firmware version or pattern etc.
