Astaro Branded 1U Server Box

Hopefully this isn't a repost, I browsed around and couldn't find anything. But I found this from a local computer retailer:

Astaro/SuperMicro Celeron 420 1.6GHz 512MB 80GB 1U Server w/Video, Dual GbLAN & RAID - No Operating System Astaro/SuperMicro PIO-515M-IBSM-BL002

Its an 1U Astaro branded box for 169.00, which actually isn't a bad deal.

I would buy one, but I'm building a lower power Atom system ~20 watts for usage [:)]

    Hey I wouldn't mind running one of them 220s for home use in this price range. I just like the way the new 220s look. Maybe astaro can make us all happy and give us a few 220s without software ofcourse for home use for testing the next beta[:D]

    I was quite surprised by how quiet these actually are. I tried turning the fan control in the bios down to a quieter setting and within 10sec the thermal alarm is going off. So "Maximum" mode it stays. [:P] Ours is sitting in a rack, covered by a plywood enclosure w/ vents and about 2ft away all you can hear is the gentle hum of it and the networking gear around it. Even with the enclosure removed you can still carry on a conversation while it's running.

    I'm just kicking myself for not buying more of them. Even factoring in shipping, which to Canada was more then the unit retailed for, the unit's came in less then what I paid to build my little Atom. [:)]
