Looking at the option of upgrading my 220 V 1 to V3 hardware. I know the V 1 I have is a Intel PIII 1.2 GHZ with 512mb ram. What hardware is in the 220 V3?
One of the key reasons for the improved performance is that the newer systems is not just twice the RAM, it is DDR2 instead of PC133. 1Gb of DDR2 is big boost from 512Mb of PC133.
This wrongful when ASG320 have Pentium IV 2.4GHz(or 2.8GHz) with 1GB too and I can't buy upgrade of hardware for ASG320 (I can only buy extra RAM to 2GB).
The reason we do not offer a hardware upgrade for the ASG 320, is we have only ever sold the one model, with 1gb ram and a 2.8ghz processor. As such, a model upgrade is moot [:)]
I am disappointed because I have problem with ASG320 performance and Firewall Throughputwhen I have almost constant numbers of users and hosts. I need more hardware power or Astaro will make optimization of process like content filter and packet filter logging.
We'd certainly not like to lose your business. I see you have already 2x 320's, have you considered running them in clustering mode vs simply HA? Alternatively, if you experience growth, software is licensed by user (vs. no limits on the appliances) however is not linked to the hardware platform, allowing you to port the installation to any new hardware/upgrades as you require.

Angelo, I believe that WaMaR's problem with 100%cpu is some kind of malfunction, not an overload. Unfortunately, his company didn't buy Platinum support, so he can't get direct support from Astaro. WaMaR, be sure to run top then touch M the next time you get that.
His logfile problem is "by design" as the Astaro logs every insignificant detail even when one's not in the debugging mode.
