I can see why you think this forum is a little "dead". But what makes you think Astaro itself is dead? How exactly did they kill themselves, care to elaborate?
I think he sees it as being dead because there isn't much activity on the forum. This could also be a very good indicator that the current releases are stable and have very few if any bugs.
I agree. The older versions had many more critical bugs. Also, Astaro is much busier now, they are a much larger company.
I do agree they need to have more presence on here though. Or at least have some "community" leaders, who can escalate important issues. Maybe have some non-Astaro employed moderators, who can respond to questions on a non-offical basis... if you know what I mean.

Simon, it is even harder for us home only users. We don't get any support when we submit a fault, even if it is a major fault, we get a response saying you don't have support.
So we rely very heavily on the expertise in these forums.
