Help! Slow speeds.

From our internal network I can pull over 3000KBs from it.

However, from outside, I can only pull an avg of 50KBs despite having a 4mbit full duplex fibre link.

I have tried installing a different FTP daemon on another machine.  Same problem.  Problem also appears to be affecting web performance.

Setup like this:

DMZ

Internal net.

I have got our ISP to test the speed and they see the same issue.

However I can download at 400KB.sec from both the internal and DMZ nets via FTP to external sites.  It's just uploads that are slow to external sites [:(]

Is there any way people can think that I could narrow this down to either Astaro or our ISP?  Any clues??

QoS on/off makes no difference.

Could be a nic issue in the ASL box.  Try changing the WAN nic.

Could it be fragmented packets?

MTU on all interfaces is 1500

Is there any way i could diagnose fragmentation?

I could try a new NIC I guess....

could be..i doubt it though.  This honestly sounds like a nic issue to me.

Found it.. The external NIC is running 10mbit half duplex.  It's not our card though (swapped for a brand new one).  Appears to be my ISP's ethernet to fibre converter.

ick..10 megs would not be a problem..half duplex though is an issue..[:)]
