there are no disconnects from the provider side -> it's a 24/7 line. i mean that the whole traffic stopps not the internet traffic. @ the stopps periods no traffic from no interfaces is possible. seams that the astaro is down, then. >maybe due to the unknown service restart reason.
I don't mean to be difficult or unhelpful, but if you're running an older version of the firewall it's almost impossible to diagnose something like this. Astaro solved many problems in 5.018, for example. Please update to 5.025 and we'll take it from there.
is this a joke? read my signature. my box was unuseable with versions above v5.17.
no i got stopps sometimes just 2 times a day - with v.523 it was hourly!!

Your problem is probably not the Astaro software, but a hardware or configuration issue. The best advice I can give you, short of having my hands on your firewall, is to first of all try different hardware and, if that doesn't work for you, look closely at your configuration.
i would say -> the configuration is more than ok. hardware, hmm, i've tested ram and the hdd. everything ok. but some friends of mine are having the same issue. as i said bevore - with v5.17 it's quite ok - so what could be a misconfiguration from your view that above 5.017 versions become unusable for me??
Bce, unfortunately anything I might say beyond this would be nothing more than a wild guess. Look to your hardware and the configuration. There *might* be something in ASL causing this, under certain circumstances.
