QOS in v5

Can you not prioritize individual protocols anymore?  I may have it wrong...the manual does not talk much about QOS.  I want all my workstations to have the same priority..however i want http as the top priority..with ftp and smtp at the bottom.  Can that be specified in the packet filter in v5?

    QOS works fine. You have to accurately define your outgoing upload bandwidth, then assign priorities via the packetfilter, which is new vs. v4 which had a specific qos section that seemed to confuse everyone.  

    [/ QUOTE ]venom here is my Packet Filter/QOS screenie..right now QOS is not working..aka i start a large file upload..when i try to surf it goes real slow since all the upload is taken up..as i mentioned in v4 i could have the same scenario occur and when i started doing http downlaods or whatever the ftp would go down to 5 kilobits(just enough to keep it alive) and i would watch the http downloads return to normal speed..this is not occurring with v5 for some reason..take a look and let me know what i am missing..[:)]

    Are you using the HTTP proxy in transparent mode ?  That might affect surfing.

    yes i am....however that did not affect v4(i know v5 is new)..but i have http as high priority at elast in theory if http traffic is initiated it should chop the ftp traffic...my only basis right now is v4..which IMO operated logically.
