[WAR 102] Too much memory for a single process

    I just read the answer given to my similar question.


    But is switching off the accounting the only possible solution?
    What’s the real problem behind? It could not be that you have too much traffic, isn’t it?

    Maybe there’s something wrong with my configuration:

    Webadmin -> Network -> Interface
        LAN Interface; 192.168.10.x ; Standard Ethernet
        DMZ Interface: 192.168.11.x ; Standard Ethernet
        Internet Interface; DHCP ; Standard Ethernet

    Webadmin -> Network -> Accounting -> Status : enabled
    Webadmin -> Network -> Accounting -> Interfaces : LAN , DMZ

    Webadmin-> Reporting -> Accounting -> Status : enabled
    Webadmin-> Reporting -> Accounting -> Queried Networks : LAN_Network , DMZ_Network

    1. how many of those messages do you get? Does it continue for several hours or even worse couses the ASL to choke?

    a) if this only accours for an hour or so i'd say its safe to ignore (not a bad idea to study the logs anyway)

    b) if it continues for several hours or the kernel logs suddenly have become very large
    - study the logs for suspected viri or dos attacks

    c) tweek the logging by explicitly drop known viri,  broadcast, udp gaming etc. (default is log & drop)
