    1. how many of those messages do you get? Does it continue for several hours or even worse couses the ASL to choke?

    a) if this only accours for an hour or so i'd say its safe to ignore (not a bad idea to study the logs anyway)

    b) if it continues for several hours or the kernel logs suddenly have become very large
    - study the logs for suspected viri or dos attacks

    c) tweek the logging by explicitly drop known viri,  broadcast, udp gaming etc. (default is log & drop)

    the message is only a warning, telling you a process uses more memory as the set threshold in /etc/wfe/conf/selfmonitoring
