I've been using Penguin Computing boxes for our ASL servers. They're a little overkill for ASL, but management likes name brand equipment. I have some self built servers elsewhere, but they're frowned upon.
If you're looking for a decent ASL box try the Penguin Relion series. I'm using their 1U units and have very good experiences with them. Just deployed my third ASL box on that hardware today with two more going online in the next month.
