Uptimes have been months, like previous post, only had to restart to patch.
Cost was about 125-250 USD, I mainly put it together with extra parts i had laying around and then tossed it into a 4U case and called it good.

Works perfectly fine for my usage
And I have some Performance left to use!     

I have the overkill.

PIII 1.2GB
Up for 2 months.
Performance excellent.
Usage ~0%.

I will remove it and make more productive use of the server.

I tested a P2 350 and will also test a celeron 300 and a P-233.

Thought about testing a P-75 but that maybe a bit low.
I want to go as low as possible and see how performance is as i go lower.

Mine ASL box just ROCKS. P4 2.2, 7 x Intel Server IPSec nic's, 100Gb HD, 512Mb Ram, all in only 2U cabinet.
