Who has the best and biggest hardware configuration for the astaro security linux

    Works perfectly fine for my usage

    I have the overkill.

    PIII 1.2GB
    Up for 2 months.
    Performance excellent.
    Usage ~0%.

    I will remove it and make more productive use of the server.

    I tested a P2 350 and will also test a celeron 300 and a P-233.

    Thought about testing a P-75 but that maybe a bit low.
    I want to go as low as possible and see how performance is as i go lower.

    Ariotech Micro 100
    667MHz CPU
    128 MB RAm
    30G HDD
    4 x 10/100 NICs
    All in a case about the size of a CD rom drive and fanless [:)]

    15%cpu load
    95MB ram in use.

    Just reboot a few minutes ago [:)]

    30 day eval license for anti-virus and surf prot.

    Mine ASL box just ROCKS. P4 2.2, 7 x Intel Server IPSec nic's, 100Gb HD, 512Mb Ram, all in only 2U cabinet.
    Idle all the time...

    How do you define who has the "best".. isnt't it just a matter of preferance???  I have a good box and it is perfect for my network but may be bad on someone elses......

    Dell Dimension 400Mhz Celeron
    768MB RAM
    4GB Western Digital Hard Drive
    3 Intel Pro 100 NIC's
    cost = Free (Cousin gave it to me   )

    Uptime..... been up since I got it running 5 days ago....

    I rarley see more then 16% Processor use and I also rarley see more then 150MB  memory use and I run a mail server, 2 webservers, 1 gameserver, and several workstations.....

    I tried a P90, but webmin crashed because of a delay in authentication, I think it was. And that's my quietest box! Oh, well.
