Reporting/Netrwork does not produce output

Hello,

we use ASL 2.028 and have a problem with the reporting function for the network traffic:

There is no update of the overview-traffic .pngs since we use two subnets in our internal network. Using the IP-aliases feature, we have a "eth2" and a "eth2:0" interface.

Any suggestions?

In ASL 3.2x it's a known issue that traffic accounting does not work when there's only few traffic to be counted.

Is 50 to 80 Meg a day low traffic?

I have the same problem. The rest of the reports works well but the network one doesn't move the day hours, it stays in 24h and some minutes. I realized that it stops working when the firewall hanged last night. Perhaps it could be restarted manually but I don't know how

Any help would be apreciated

Frank,

please check if "/var/chroot-snmp.mrtg/etc/mrtg.conf"
contains entries for the network cards.
If not run "/etc/rc.d/snmpd restart" manuallay
and check again.

Hi Oliver,

thank you for your advice. There were entries for the network cards, also restarting /etc/rc.d/snmpd did not solve the problem.

But... when we asigned an other alias on eth0 yesterday, the accounting suddenly started to work again, just like there never have been problems.
