defunct process

Hi Volker, 

this is nothing to worry about.

aua.bin is astaro's authentication daemon.
He spawns children and sometimes it does not collect their return value.

What do?
Except of the fact it doesn't look to good, it does nothing.

This is on our list 'to be done'.

Thanks for the info. I had another problem though. I tried to reboot the machine and the firewall did not come back again. This is a problem since the machine is in a different location. I had to wait until somebody else was available to reset the machine.

Any Ideas why the machine did not reboot ?

...still is the case with current versions of 2.0 and 3.2 - plus I occasionally find one or two zombied CRON processes.

...talked with the Astaro guys yesterday. It seems that aua.bin and cron occasionally zombie without affecting the whole system. This is a known bug (for 2.0 and 3.2 - alas, that are the versions I know of) but the cause has not been identified yet. Zombies don't make me feel comfortable, though.
