After UTM update I can no longer login to my firewall nor ping external sites.

Now when I try to login i get this error. "Can't use string ("0") as an ARRAY ref while "strict refs" in use at /core/modules/core_menu.pm line 41, line 1."

I also can not ping 8.8.8.8 from within the network. I have tried rebooting the firewall and using different browsers.

UTM 9.6. Everything appears to be fine on boot. I do not see any kind of errors pop up.

  • Does rebooting several times fix this?

When you say you have no backup, do you mean that your UTM's hard drive failed?

  • nope... I've tried probably 6 or so times.

  • The hard drive on my firewall did not fail. Just the drive where I had my backups stored. Didn't realize that's what was on the drive until today. I haven't done anything but update my firewall for the last 6 months or so which is why I never took a new backup. I get this error after I type in my credentials and try to login. Local login to the device using a keyboard also does not work.

if you do an ls /var/confd/var/storage/snapshots/ at the command line, what do you see?
