[8.950][BUG] Kernel panic on ESX and KVM

Exact same problem, I updated the firmware and now its rebooting every couple minutes.

Same exact specs

VM on ESXi 5.0u1 64 bit 
Astaro with 64bit kernel.

Trying to look at the logs between reboots.

VM on ESXi 5.0u1 64 bit

edit: also copy past, but it is indeed 5.0u1

ESxi5.0 no issues so far. Al seems to run fast as hell. So maybe only a 5.1 issue...

Kernel Panic on KVM is a fact!

(Topic Name: KVM Kernel Panic)

The upgrade makes my system go kernel panic at random. Once I updated my system rebooted for 20 times, not kidding, it rebooted due a kernel panic.

Right now it is stable for about 2 min stable, before that it was stable for about 20 minutes.

I haven't found out why, rebooting and using an older kernel does NOT solve the problem.

Setup

• 2048 MB Ram

I haven't tried to restore it. Neither did I try to install it and restore a backup. That might actually work.

I refer to an other post that has the same issue but on ESXI.

Well, was a typo, I copy pasted from the guy above me. I have 5.0 but it is update 1.

Learned my lesson though, I will snapshot the VM before I do a firmware upgrade from now on. Hopefully this is a quick fix.

That makes two of us... seems to be fine... if I dont push ipv6 over it.
Stable for 20 min so far *crosses fingers*

update: nvm, just rebooted.

I have esxi 4.1 and have no problems with 64 bit astaro kernel install and everything is stable.

Oh, typo from my side.... 5.0u1 not 5.1u1.....

So, no one made a snapshot before updating?
