[9.270-6][Help] Unable to get SPX working

Hi All
Hopefully somebody will be able to help me out with setting up SPX.

My existing setup is:-
1x hosted (external mail server) with a domain name.
1x internal hosted (MS Exchange mail server) with a different domain name.

All email is sent to UTM via port 25.
All outgoing email is routed through a smarthost. port 587.

I have setup spx and templates and installed clients in Outlook and thunderbird.

When I send an email (with spx selected) and have the SMTP live log up I see the email go through but not flagged as SPX. At the receiving end I just get a normal mail.

I have even changed the smarthost to port 25 with no change.

    do you still have this problem?

    From the pictures I can't see any problems so far, internal domains and SPX settings look OK.

    do your clients (senders) request SPX (SPX header set)


    SPX has to be requested by the mail sending client. This is done by setting a special header field:
    X-Sophos-SPX-Encrypt: yes

    For Outlook there is this plugin which sets the header, for Thunderbird one can set it by hand.

    Besides that I don't have an idea right now.

    Try enable debug logging for SMTP by sending a USR2 signal to the smtpd. In smtp-debug.log you then should see more, for example which profile was chosen. Maybe we'll find some hints there.
