[9.060][CLOSED] ADSL and IPv6 breaks

I have rebuilt this UTM 3 times now to try and get past the hanging when I change the external interface to ADSL PPPoE with IPv6 enabled.

The AP10 connects for a short while then the power light just keeps flashing. I cannot ping the interface or even get an IP address from the DHCP server.

I would post logs if I could get into the box, but I can't. From testing though, it would appear as though the interface hangs causing the UTM to hang. Top shows lots of activity. At one stage I saw a message on the console about interrupt 16 being disabled. Also I get a message about the hotspot which I didn't get on this UTM.

    Can't find the mdw gz file, where is it?

    Is it possible to either send me the backup file or try to reproduce this and send me the log files afterwards?

    Hi,
    I built a new utm v9.006 and slowly configured it without a connected external interface.
    Setup AP10, a number of other functions with the external interface configured as ADSL and IPv6. Performance is very good.
    Connected a modem in bridge mode that wasn't connected to a phone line, UTM still functioned.

    Eventually connected the phone line to the modem and the UTM ground to a halt. I had the PPPoE log open at the time. I could lines being written and a connection being established, but still no access to the internet and webadmin would not respond.

    Being a bit wiser after 3 boxes and reading Whity's thread, left the box alone for about 15 minutes, then it I was able to access the webadmin and the internet.
    Added an internal IPv6 address, still had connectivity, but at this stage had to stop to go to work.

    This box is a dual core amd e-350 with 4gb ram, ssd, a realtek and intel NICs.

    I think my issue has been one of impatiences after connecting the external network, in the previous builds the UTM did not lockup when first connected to the external network.
    Testing to continue tonight.

    From my experience with the 3rd UTM I applied those to UTM 2.
    I put a modem in bridge mode on the external interface, but not powered on. Changed the external interface to PPPoE with IPv6, UTM still very responsive. Powered on the modem and the UTM became unresponsive.
    Waited 10 minutes and the UTM was working again with IPv6 on the external interface.

    Changed the MASQ to use IPv4 only and the MAC Pro doesn't register at the sixxs site as being IPv6, where as "myipv6" site shows the external IPv6 address of the UTM.

    How do I remove the tunnel broker from the Dashboard display?

    UTM 2 is described in my signature.

    While PPPoE and IPv6 might not be broken as per my original post, there is definitely something wrong.
